Dads Dine in Style
If your kids' skills in the kitchen leave a lot to be desired, you can dump the under-cooked eggs and bacon on the sly and head along to one of the many restaurants that are offering freebies for foodie fathers.
Select Spaghetti Warehouse locations are treating any carb-loving pops to its 15-layer lasagne or spaghetti and meatballs dish for free. Beef O' Brady's will alternatively allow dads to dine for free (up to a value of $10) with a purchase of equal or greater value, while Fogo de Chao will give any steak-loving dad a coupon for a free lunch or dinner on his next visit.
Penny-Pinching Pastimes for Pops
Once you've had a mighty, albeit thrifty feed, you can continue the savings and head along to the zoo for some family-time that everyone will enjoy — especially you, since dads will bag themselves free admission. Free tickets are available nationwide, so check the details at your local zoo. (A handful of those confirmed include Montgomery and Birmingham in Alabama, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Franklin Park Zoo in Boston.)
If you're a keen camper looking for a family-friendly change of scenery, Koa is getting in on the Father's Day action by allowing all kids to camp free in parks nationwide. Many local museums are also offering similar Father's Day deals, which will help you keep the whole family entertained while Dad nabs a freebie and cuts back on spending. Some interesting spots to consider are the Museum of Flight in Seattle, the Bryant Museum in Tuscaloosa, and the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. For something wholly different, dads also go free to the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament from now until June 21 when you buy a second, full-priced ticket.
If you fancy learning a little something so as not to let the festivities go to waste, you can head along to select Williams-Sonoma locations for a free Junior Chef Class for dad and the kids, where you can create your own tasty something.
Longer-Lasting Loot
For those who are looking for something a little longer-lasting, you can bag yourself a host of free tools and accessories at Harbor Freight Tools. With these printable coupons in tow, you can pick up a Centech Digital Multimeter, 27-LED flashlight, and Pittsburgh Magnetic Parts Holder without spending a hard-earned dime. Then, you can set out to your local First Watch outlet to nab a small bag of coffee to take home for nothing at all.
