What to Expect From HP Black Friday Deals in 2021

One of the main categories that shoppers tend to flock to for Black Friday is electronics, as well as computers of all kinds. And whether you're in the market for a new laptop or even some new accessories, you can find great deals at HP, especially during the big shopping season in November.

Check out our guide on what to expect from HP for Black Friday 2021. We go over the best deals from their ad, what doorbusters will be available, and even when Cyber Monday sales will begin.

What to Expect From HP Black Friday Deals

When Will the HP Black Friday Ad Be Released?

We're expecting the HP Black Friday ad for 2021 to arrive no later than October 31. In 2019, the company's Black Friday ad dropped on November 2, but last year it came out a few days later than expected, on November 5. Even so, we're counting on an earlier release date this year, as retailers are encouraging consumers to shop sooner rather than later.

Are HP Doorbusters Available Online?

Are you shopping HP directly? Then of course their doorbusters will be available online. However, stores like Best Buy, Staples, and Target also sell HP products year-round, which means HP items could potentially be part of those retailers' Black Friday sales, as well.

The HP Black Friday deals should begin on Thanksgiving Day this year, which will be November 25.

When Do HP Black Friday Deals Start Online?

In 2020, HP actually kicked off their Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving Day, or November 26. As such, we expect the HP Black Friday deals to begin on Turkey Day this year, which will be November 25.

When Is the Best Time to Shop?

You can expect to save at HP on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday in 2021. Last year, we saw a few deals pop up by the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, though the bulk of the deals came later in the week. We barely saw more deals on Thanksgiving Day than on Black Friday, but even so, there were more Staff Pick deals on Friday than the day before. In fact, about 67% of the deals we listed on Black Friday for HP earned our Staff Pick designation, which we reserve for the offers that are the "best of the best."

What HP Black Friday Deals Can You Expect?

Watch for laptop discounts to be a huge part of the HP Black Friday sale. For instance, last year we saw an HP 17z 17" laptop with a second-generation AMD Ryzen 5 CPU for $450. The company also had an HP 15t 15" laptop with a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 CPU and a touch screen for $430.

While laptops may make up the bulk of the best Black Friday deals from HP, those won't be the only items on sale. For instance, a Samsung 21" full HD monitor was part of an incredible promotion in 2020: a pair of these monitors would only cost you $99. Plus, an HP 27fh 27" AMD FreeSync LED monitor went for $133. All of these offers — and more — were so notable that they earned our Staff Pick designation.

What HP Black Friday Doorbusters Will Be Available?

We expect laptop deals to comprise the bulk of the HP Black Friday doorbusters, but there will likely be a decent amount of offers on monitors, as well. Aside from that, you can expect to save on a workstation or ProDesk option, and peripherals like docks.

The good thing about HP doorbusters is that they can have special pricing at particular times, but outside of that, the same products could still be on sale. For instance, last year an HP Spectre x360 laptop was priced at $1,049.99 for the big event, but the doorbuster price on that item was $999.99. An HP Pavilion Laptop 15z-eh000 was discounted to $469.99, and on Black Friday morning had a doorbuster price of $449.99.

Expect most of the HP Black Friday doorbusters to be laptop deals, but there'll likely be some monitor deals, as well.

Doorbuster monitor deals in 2020 included an HP 27er 27" monitor for $159.99, or $149.99 at its doorbuster price on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. However, this offer was interesting because on both days, it was limited to the first 100 units sold. A similar offer applied to the HP 23er 23" monitor that was priced at $119.99 for the shopping event, and at $109.99 for its doorbuster price.

Other HP doorbusters included a Z1 G5 Workstation for $529, the HP ProDesk 400 G5 Mini for $459, the HP USB-C Universal Dock G5 for $140, and the HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2 for $186.

What You Should Know Before You Shop

Different days could bring different prices. Last year, HP advertised that there would be "new deals throughout each day," and if they pursue this strategy in 2021, that could mean shoppers have to check multiple times to get the best deals. Additionally, it's important to read the fine print for the offers, as some will feature different prices depending on the day. Several doorbusters were on sale in general, but had even lower prices on select days or with other requirements.

Watch for extra savings via coupon codes. Last year, HP offered an extra 5% off select gaming PCs priced at $999 or more, or an extra 10% off select gaming PCs that were priced at $1,399 or more. Shoppers could also score a free copy of the Marvel's Avengers game when they purchased HP gaming PCs with qualifying Intel processors. Another coupon provided 15% off select monitors and accessories with a PC purchase.

What About HP Cyber Monday Sales?

HP is already promoting its 2021 Cyber Monday sale on its website. The sale will return on Monday, November 29, according to the company.

What HP Cyber Monday Deals Will Be Available?

The HP Cyber Monday sale will likely include some of the same offers we see on Black Friday, and once again be made up largely of monitors and laptop deals. Last year, the overall sale knocked up to 65% off and had new coupons to take advantage of, including the following:

5% off $599 or more
10% off $999 or more
5% off select HP monitors and accessories purchases of at least $50
10% off select HP monitors and accessories purchases of at least $200
