When Do Black Friday Ads Come Out?

Normally, most ads are released in November, but we could see earlier drops this year.

Black Friday is still several weeks away, but it wouldn't hurt to begin your planning now. It's been a strange year, after all, so having a solid strategy for shopping Black Friday is especially important for 2020. A good place to start is learning when Black Friday ads come out. To help you out, we've put together a list of the top stores and the Black Friday ads release dates we expect this year.

A note on "leaked" Black Friday ads: Leaks aren't really leaks. Stores typically share their ads and flyers with media outlets before they reveal all their Black Friday deals on their own websites (and in the newspaper). As such, we based our ad predictions on the leak dates from 2019. However, the ad drop dates for some stores can vary widely from year to year.

Don't Expect an Apple Black Friday Ad

Don't bother searching your newspaper circular for an Apple Black Friday ad. Apple is notorious for not hosting a big Black Friday sale. Because of this, we don't expect the company to release any kind of ad in 2020. If a sale pops up for Black Friday this year, it'll likely be similar to the 4-day shopping events Apple has hosted in the past, when it bundled various gift card deals with select purchases.
