When Does Fanatics Gear Go on Sale?

To score a great deal on sports merchandise, take advantage of holiday discounts and clearance events.

With sports, most fans like to wear their heart on their sleeve, and Fanatics is there to help. It sells gear for fans of college sports, the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, and more. The best sales aren't frequent, so read on to find out how (and when) to save.

Sign Up for Fanatics Rewards

Fanatics offers a loyalty program called Fanatics Rewards, and it's free to sign up. Once you're a member, you'll earn FanCash equal to 5% of what you spend on eligible purchases, which can be credited toward future purchases. While 5% one way or another is small savings, every dollar counts when looking for the best deal.

Shop Around the Holidays

Sitewide discounts are usually rare from Fanatics, though that's not true during the holiday shopping rush. Last year, we saw only five sitewide discounts from Fanatics, but three of them were in November — and another was in late October. Based on past deals we've seen, expect to get at least 20% off and maybe as much as 30%; however, you might need to meet a minimum of $40 to $60 to bag the discount. The good news? You'll likely get free shipping.

Look for More Sales After the School Year Starts

The only other regular sitewide discount we've seen from Fanatics tends to pop up in late September or early October. Similar to the sales above, you can expect a 20% to 30% discount, a possible minimum order, and definitely free shipping.

Watch for Clearance Deals

While we can't tell you in advance when they'll pop up, we can tell you Fanatics' clearance sales are worth checking out. During these sales, all clearance items are marked at least 30% off and as much as 70% off. Plus, you can usually bag free shipping, though sometimes you'll have to spend a minimum of $30 to $50 to get it.

The Best Discounts Are on Single Items
