Walmart's Black Friday ad is here, and it's right on time! Much like other retailers, Walmart is kicking off the season with a few days of deals right now.

However, many of the best deals will be available online on November 23 at 12:01 am ET. Below, we've rounded up the most notable offers from the ad. Check out our Walmart guide below the deals, and read up on all our Black Friday predictions so you know exactly what to expect.

Big Change This Year: No Guaranteed Doorbusters

Before we launch into our top picks, it's important to note a big change for Walmart this year: the store is doing away with wristbands, which means no guarantees on doorbusters.

Walmart claims, however, that it will carry increased inventory of most of its deals. The store will also have Holiday Helpers on hand to assist shoppers with anything they need to find. Additionally, departments will be color-coded this year, and the store will offer local maps, to make shopping easier.

So, here's what we think you should be shopping for at Walmart this year!

Best Deals

  • LG 49" 4K Smart TV for $328
Should You Buy It? Yes It's a brand-name midsize set for a great price.

This LG 4K TV beats our predictions for the average price of a brand-name set of this size by almost $100. It's also the best outright price we've seen for an LG 49" 4K Smart TV.

  • Select Apple iPhones + $300 Gift Card with qualifying payment plan
Should You Buy It? Yes It's the only Black Friday offer we've seen that includes the iPhone X.

This offer goes beyond our predictions, bundling the latest Apple tech (including the iPhone X!) with the highest gift card amount we've seen so far. It's valid on AT&T Next, AT&T Next Every Year, and select Verizon plans, with $0 down for well-qualified customers.

  • Select Samsung Devices + $300 Gift Card with qualifying payment plan
Should You Buy It? Yes It's the best gift card offer we've seen bundled with the latest Samsung handsets.

It's a hefty gift card bundled with new Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8. It's valid on AT&T Next, AT&T Next Every Year, and select Verizon plans, with $0 down for well-qualified customers.

  • Google Chromecast + $5 Vudu Credit for $20
Should You Buy It? Yes It's a super affordable way to cut the cable cord.

Not only does this Chromecast deal beat our predictions, but it comes with a $5 Vudu credit that makes it even more appealing. It's the best price we've seen for this streaming device, period.

  • Google Home Mini + $25 Credit for $29
Should You Buy It? Yes It's brand-new tech at its lowest price yet.

Other retailers are offering the Home Mini for the same price, which is still surprising since we weren't expecting any discounts at all. But this Home Mini deal is particularly impressive because it's bundled with a $25 coupon valid for Walmart orders on Google Express. If you use the credit, that's almost like getting it for $4!

  • Roku Express+ HD Streaming Media Player for $22
Should You Buy It? Yes It's a super affordable way to cut the cable cord.

The deal on this streaming stick matches our predictions, as well as being the best price we've seen for a new model. Previously, we've seen a refurbished Roku Express+ drop to $25. It's even better since it also comes with one free month of DirecTV NOW, one free month of Showtime, and a $5 Vudu credit.

  • Samsung Chromebook 3 for $119
Should You Buy It? Yes It's an excellent deal for a basic laptop.

It doesn't beat our predictions, since it's $20 more than what we expected. However, it's still the lowest price we've seen for this model, and a highly affordable laptop that's great for basic everyday tasks.

  • Apple iPad 32GB Tablet for $249
Should You Buy It? Yes It's the best price we've seen for this model.

This definitely isn't as good as our $205 prediction, but there's no denying it's still the best price we've seen for this iPad. If you're in the market for one, it's worthy of your attention.

  • Samsung 65" Curved 4K Smart TV for $847.99
Should You Buy It? Yes It's a big-screen set that beats our predictions.

Although this online-only deal doesn't appear in the ad, it was announced in a press release from Walmart so we think it's still official. That's good, since this price beats our prediction for the average price of a name-brand 65" 4K TV by $128 — and it's also curved, to boot! In fact, it's the lowest price ever for a curved TV with these specs. Along with Smart capabilities, it's a gorgeous set at a great price.

What to Expect From Walmart Black Friday Sales in 2017

When one envisions a Black Friday shopping frenzy, Walmart inevitably springs to mind. And for good reason! This megaretailer's Black Friday sale is always full of excellent doorbusters.

If you're ready to make your Walmart Black Friday game plan, read on to find out when you'll see the ad, when the sale will start, and what deals you can expect.

When Will the Ad Be Released?

Walmart released its ad right on time, on November 9, which is two weeks before Thanksgiving. These items are available while supplies last, and Walmart is saying goodbye to guaranteed doorbusters this year.

Will Walmart Be Open on Thanksgiving?

Yes, Walmart will once again be open all day on Thanksgiving Day, with in-store Black Friday deals beginning at 6 pm local time.

When Does Walmart Open on Black Friday?

As noted above, Walmart Black Friday hours actually start at 6 pm on Thanksgiving. The stores stay open then overnight and through Black Friday itself. Those who can't wait for doors to open can start shopping on Walmart's website as early as the stroke of midnight on Thanksgiving Day.

When Is the Best Time to Shop?

While Walmart hosts sales in the days leading up to Black Friday, the best price drops always happen on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Still, it pays to examine the Black Friday ad for the sake of comparison, and to shop sales early for better stock.

What Will Be on Sale?

Walmart will have deals on just about everything from tires to vacuums to Christmas decorations. Between November 15 and December 4 last year, we saw over a hundred Editors' Choice deals at Walmart in more than a dozen categories. So no matter what you're shopping for, it never hurts to take a glance through the Walmart ad.

What Will Be the Big Doorbusters?

With doors having actually been busted at Walmart locations during past Black Fridays, it's no surprise that Walmart's ad is always loaded with doorbuster deals. Of course, there will be plenty of discounts on TVs, especially off-brand sets. The best deals will go quickly; if you see something that meets your criteria and budget, don't wait to pull the trigger.

Also expect to see lots of toys on sale. This year Walmart will be stocking many exclusive toy items — about 25% of its inventory — which amounts to about 300 toys you'll only see there. Similarly, Walmart will offer several unique gaming console bundles that'll cost less than if you purchased these items separately.

What You Need to Know

Wherever you decide to shop during Black Friday, you'll need a solid strategy to make sure you don't miss out. Here's everything you need to know to put together your plan for Walmart's Black Friday sale.

  • When the sale starts: Stores will open at 6 pm local time on Thanksgiving, but the sale will go live online at midnight earlier that day.

  • Time limitations: Doorbusters are available while supplies last, and Walmart isn't guaranteeing any doorbusters this year.

  • In-store or online? Select Black Friday doorbusters will be in-store or online only, but Walmart will host sales online all week long.

  • When the ad drops: Walmart is out! The retailer dropped its ad on November 9.

  • Best day to shop: For Walmart, the best price drops always happen on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

  • Guaranteed doorbusters: If you don't mind standing in line, Walmart typically offers a 1-hour guarantee on high-demand items. For an hour after the start of the sale, everyone will be able to purchase their desired doorbusters. If a store runs out of stock, you can still pay for the item and get it before Christmas.

Does anyone know what the price of a 32gb AT&T iPhone 7 will be at Walmart before the gift card?

For upgrades or new line. However, they said they will NOT have iPhone X in stock.

Great article. Would be helpful for all if DealNews could confirm that the gift cards that are bundled with the iPhone purchases are for upgrades to existing plans or for new customers only. In the past these have been for a new customer or adding a line to an existing plan.
