When Does Burberry Go on Sale?

Sales directly from the brand are rare, and the biggest discount you're likely to find is 50% off. However, other retailers love to discount Burberry goods.
Burberry sale

Burberry has been selling luxury British fashions for over a century and a half. Kate Middleton's patronage of the brand gives it a certain royal cachet, but commoners like us know it's nice to save a few pounds on Burberry's fancy threads. Here's what you need to know!

While you can't always count on a sale from Burberry, you can make some pretty good guesses. End-of-season sales are common, and the brand sometimes offers sales around holidays such as Memorial Day or Labor Day.

What Discounts Can I Expect?

When Burberry does hold a sale, things are discounted on an item-by-item basis, rather than across categories. The maximum discount you're likely to find is 50% off. However, many items will bear smaller discounts in the range of 25% to 40% off.

What Items Are Discounted?

Burberry previously carried three lines of clothing — their more casual Burberry Brit line, the dressier Burberry London line, and the fashion-forward Burberry Prorsum line (think runway). The names of these clothing lines disappeared from labels at the end of 2016, but keeping the old delineation in mind could help you determine whether a garment will go on sale.

Seasonal or trendy garments are more likely to be discounted. Items that bear the iconic 'Burberry check' pattern rarely see big price drops.

In general, seasonal or trendy garments are more likely to be discounted. Classic designs and wardrobe staples are rarely discounted heavily. In addition, items that bear the iconic "Burberry check" pattern rarely see big price drops.

How Can I Save on Burberry All Year?

While Burberry's own sales are somewhat rare, other retailers frequently discount Burberry-branded items. While the selections may be more limited, the savings can be much bigger.

Fragrance X cuts up to 80% off Burberry fragrances, and stores like Rue La La, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Mr Porter frequently discount Burberry bags and apparel. Discounts of up to 50% off are relatively common, but sales occasionally offer discounts of up to 60% or 70% off — prices you won't get direct from Burberry.

I didn't know who this "Kate Middleton" was, I only know her as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn and Lady Carrickfergus. Although in Scotland it is Her Royal Highness The Countess of Strathearn.

Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge/The Countess of Strathearn (in Scotland) was clearly confused when asked what she prefers to be called, replying, "I will answer to most things." Lest we forget, it isn't Princess Kate but Princess William or even Catherine Mountbatten-Windsor.

Lastly, we should be rid of the antiquated Title of Nobility Clause- Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution.

Seriously, basketpam?! You are trolling because the article doesn't call KATE MIDDLETON by her royal name? Let's take a look at the reality that in the US, we don't often associate them with their royal names, and also she has other royal names that she goes by throughout Great Britain. So are you suggesting that we should reference every single royal name that she has? The article is talking about BURBERRY. Stick to commenting about BURBERRY and get over the fact that the US media will continue to call her KATE MIDDLETON.
Kate Middleton does NOT do anything. However, the Duchess of Cambridge may do something for one of my VERY favorite brands for the past 30 years. Come on folks, GET IT RIGHT! What's wrong with you? Your mistake, you equate this charming, stylish, lovely young woman with dingy starlets of Hollywood who never change their name the 6 times they marry. There is NOTHING in common between them. It is outrageously RUDE when you can't address her by her married name or title. Look, if the media is calling Cruella Deville the Duchess of Cornwall all the time, which makes my skin crawl every time I think of it, the LEAST you can do is accord Catherine the respect she deserves. You're SUPPOSE to be a professional, report like one. I still don't get it, how many years later and MANY still can't call this woman by the proper name? The paparazzi may have hounded dear Diana to death, but at least they used her name correctly. Is this a professional publication or not? If you are, act like one.
