How to Save Money at 6pm
6pm is the sister site of Zappos.com and offers discounted shoes, clothing, accessories, and more from well-known brands like Nike, Sperry Top-Sider, UGG, New Balance, and Frye.
Here are the types of discounts you can expect to find at 6pm, and tips on how you can save on your next purchase.
Types of Coupons at 6pm
6pm is mostly focused on the sale. You'll find discounts of up to 90% off MSRP on items around the site. They also offer five to eight sales per day that offer special savings on specific product types or brands. Usually these sales last a couple of days and two of them are email exclusives, which means you will find links to these sales through their marketing emails, but they aren't advertised on the homepage. The steepest discounts can be found in their clearance section, where items are at least 70% off.
There are sometimes 6pm coupon codes for 10% to 20% off. These codes are always available for one day only and are also limited in total redemptions, so they can expire before the end of the day if enough customers use them. Signing up for 6pm emails won't always notify you of a code because they are sometimes only released on social media. Codes are typically not advertised on the 6pm homepage, so you have to search for them.
Discounts to Expect
Most coupon codes released throughout the year will be for 10% off and offered up to three times per month, although once a month is more typical. Higher discounts of 15% are released on a more frequent basis during the holiday shopping season in November and December. Their best discount code of 20% is usually only available on Cyber Monday, although this discount was offered one time again in December during the last holiday season.
Expect Codes During Holiday Weekends
Waiting for a code before making a purchase, however, isn't likely to be your best strategy during most months of the year. While they can offer up to three codes per month, they might not coincide with the specific sale you're interested in, which will only last a day or two. Plus, there will be some months without any codes at all.
You're more likely to find codes during a holiday weekend, or with a seasonal event like back-to-school, but especially in the latter instance, it's hard to know exactly when they'll be available.
November and December Are Exceptions
During these months, 6pm has released codes more frequently, up to 11 days out of the month, and the majority are for 15% off instead of 10%. On some of these days, two or three different codes for the same discount were released, which can be useful if one code reaches the maximum redemption limit before the end of the day.
During this time, it can be wise to wait on a code if you have your eye on something that isn't in immediate danger of selling out. 6pm will indicate when stock is getting low on an item once you select a size.
Shipping Costs
6pm offers $4.95 shipping or free shipping on orders of $50 or more. If you have to return an item, be aware that you will have to pay to ship it back.
How to Redeem a Code at 6pm
Add a product to the cart and you will be directed to your Shopping Bag. Click Proceed to Checkout and you will be prompted to log in or register. The coupon code box is located in the Your Payment Information section on the Shipping and Payment information page. 6pm allows one coupon per order.
