9 Stores that Offer Christmas Eve Pickup

Deadline: December 24 (time varies by city)
Of Note: Apple offers a Personal Pickup service that allows you to purchase select Apple products online (or via the Apple Store app), and then pick them up at your local store. Apple will send you an email when your order is ready, and most orders are reportedly available within an hour. While you can send someone else to pick up in your place, you should warn Apple that you're going this route to prevent any hiccups with the process. Also, be sure to check your local store's holiday hours before making any purchases.

Bed, Bath, & Beyond

Deadline: December 24 at 4 pm
Of Note: Check your local store for specific hours, but it seems many will be open until 6 pm. With a reported turnaround time of two hours or less for orders, you should be able to place an order as late as 4 pm on Christmas Eve.

Best Buy

Deadline: December 24 at 4 pm
Of Note: You can order online for in-store pickup at Best Buy as late as 4 pm on Christmas Eve. However, don't wait too long — stores will close at 6 pm and you don't want to get caught up in a rush.

Deadline: December 24 at 12 pm
Of Note: Macy's hours can vary by city, but as long as you place your order online by 12 pm on Christmas Eve, your gifts will be available for in-store pickup before Santa arrives that night.

Deadline: December 24
Of Note: Nordstrom boasts that in-store pickup orders are ready within an hour; however, it doesn't list specific cutoff times for Christmas Eve. Check your local store's hours and try to get your order in as early as possible to avoid any potential problems when picking up gifts.

Pier 1 Imports

Deadline: December 24
Of Note: Pier 1 Imports states that orders placed online are available for pickup "the next day or sooner". There's no specific cutoff time listed for Christmas Eve, so it's probably best to actually place your order no later than December 23 to ensure your order isn't pushed until after Christmas. Most stores will close at 6 pm, but it's best to call your local store for exact holiday hours.

Deadline: December 24 at 6 pm
Of Note: Most of the time, orders placed online for in-store pickup are ready within two hours as long as they're ordered before 7 pm. Check your local store for specific holiday hours; you'll be able to order online for in-store pickup until 6 pm, and you should be able to pick up your order at any point until closing time on Christmas Eve.

Deadline: December 24 at 6 pm
Of Note: Any toys you still need to mark off your list can be ordered at Toys"R"Us for in-store pickup as late as 6 pm on December 24. Although you can pick orders up on the same day, we recommend contacting your local store for its specific Christmas Eve hours.

Deadline: December 23 at 6 pm
Of Note: Although the deadline for online orders with in-store pickup is at 6 pm the day before Christmas Eve, Walmart says shoppers will be able to pick up those orders at any time on December 24. Stores will be closing at 6 pm on Christmas Eve, so be sure to head to your local store before then.

And One Store That Offers Same-Day Delivery on Christmas Eve

Deadline: December 24 at 9:30 am
Shipping Method: Same-Day Delivery
Cost: Free for Prime members
Of Note: Amazon's same-day delivery is available to Prime members in 29 metropolitan areas, including New York, Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco/Bay Area, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Before you head out to the store for your pickup, be sure to have confirmation codes, valid identification, and the same credit card you used for your purchase on hand. Many stores will be asking for proof of purchase before they hand over your order, and it'll make the process much smoother and faster if you're prepared. Often emails are required when placing orders, so make sure you've entered yours correctly and if you don't see a confirmation appear within a reasonable amount of time, check your spam folders since it might have been sent there by mistake.
