It's easy for expectant parents to feel overwhelmed at the sheer volume of baby items they need to purchase. But the buying doesn't stop once the baby's born. From diapers and wipes to formula and changing essentials, there are a ton of things parents have to get on a regular basis. To keep from running to the store every few days, they're better off buying some of these items in bulk.

But what are the best Sam's Club items new parents should purchase? Check out our guide below for seven items you can save on by buying in bulk, as well as three necessities you can pick up if they're still hanging out on your baby registry.

10 Sam's Club Items New Parents Need to Buy

Diapers

New parents will be happy to find big brands of diapers at Sam's Club, including Pampers, Luvs, Huggies, and Sam's own brand, Member's Mark. Different sizes are available, too, so you'll always be well-stocked. But the best thing about shopping for diapers at Sam's Club is that more often than not, the price per diaper is better than what you'll pay elsewhere. In fact, some diapers were as cheap as 12 cents each at the time of publication.

Sam's Club products include diapers as cheap as 12 cents each, plus wipes priced as low as 2 cents each.

Wipes

While you're stocking up on diapers for your new baby, you can also grab wipes at Sam's Club in bulk. Available brands include Member's Mark, Pampers, Huggies, and Seventh Generation. Like with the diapers, the price per unit is hard to beat; some packages amount to 2 cents per wipe. And if your baby has sensitive skin, know that Sam's Club has wipes on hand in fragrance-free and sensitive-skin formulations.

Shampoo

Baby shampoo and wash formulas are designed to be extra gentle, and they're important to have on your shopping list before baby gets their first bath. The good news is that Sam's Club sells baby shampoo and wash from brands like Aveeno, Dove, Hello Bello, and of course, Johnson's Baby. The latter's shampoo is the classic "No More Tears" formula, and you can purchase it in a large bottle with a handy pump at Sam's, rather than having to rely on smaller bottles from big box stores. And at around 14 cents per fluid ounce, this shampoo is a much better deal than what you can expect even at Walmart.

Lotion

Once bath time is over, you'll want to make sure you moisturize your baby's skin. Sam's Club also carries baby lotions that are made to be super gentle and come from the same brands listed above. At the time of publication, we saw a Baby Dove pack with wash and lotion available, as well as Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion and Johnson's Baby Lotion with coconut oil.

Diaper Rash Cream

You may hate having to use diaper rash cream, as it could mean your baby's feeling uncomfortable. But the odds are high that you'll need this type of product sometime, and you'll want to be prepared. Fortunately, Sam's Club offers many different changing essentials.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo with the 'No More Tears' formula could cost as little as 14 cents per fluid ounce at Sam's Club.

For example, Sam's Club carries Desitin diaper rash cream, usually in a couple of different formulations. It's not uncommon to see both maximum strength diaper rash paste and Daily Defense diaper rash cream at Sam's, both in 3-packs of 4.8-ounce tubes. Are you on the lookout for a different brand? Then keep an eye open for ones like Aquaphor. At the time of publication, Sam's Club was carrying Aquaphor Baby Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment in a 3-pack.

Laundry Detergent

When it comes to washing your baby's clothes, you'll likely want a gentle product for that task, as well. Sam's Club has a few different baby detergent options, including Dreft Ultra Concentrated in 150- and 170-fluid-ounce sizes. It's a liquid detergent, as is the other option from Seventh Generation. That one is also labeled as a baby detergent and formulated for sensitive skin.

Even if you don't want to purchase baby-specific laundry detergent, it's usually a good idea to avoid colors and scents in whatever soap you pick, as those "free and clear" formulas tend to irritate the skin less. Sam's Club has detergents that fit that bill, too, including All Free Clear.

Baby Food and Formula

If you're in need of baby formula, know that Sam's Club has you covered there, as well. This item is always pricey, so if you can get a better unit price by shopping in bulk, it's well worth it. Just be sure before you buy that it's a type of formula your baby can tolerate. Sam's Club has its own Member's Mark formula, but it also sells Enfamil, Similac, Gerber Good Start, and even Burt's Bees. They also carry Nestle Nido and Enfagrow products.

When it's time to shop for baby food instead of formula, you can get those types of products at Sam's Club, too. The retailer routinely has a variety of Gerber items, including rice and oatmeal infant cereals, Gerber 2nd Foods fruit and veggie packs, Gerber Graduates Puffs, toddler pouches, and other snacks. You'll also find other brands there, such as Plum Organics, Beech-Nut, Earth's Best, and PediaSure.

Infant Carriers

Looking for infant carriers? Sam's Club has Beco, Infantino, Kolcraft, Contours, Ergobaby, and MOBY brands. Not all parents like these items, but they can certainly give your arms a break! Infant carriers allow you to strap your baby to your front or your back and carry them hands-free, which can be a huge help when you're tackling chores like folding laundry or even going on a hike. Prices vary, but at the time of publication, we saw items starting around $40.

Strollers

While you may or may not want an infant carrier, you'll definitely need a stroller. Sam's Club has a variety of strollers available, from simple convertible models, to complete travel systems that include car seats, to jogging strollers and double strollers.

No matter your needs, there's a good chance you'll find a stroller to suit them at Sam's Club, which offers trusted brands like Evenflo, Safety 1st, and Britax. Additionally, we saw prices starting around $100, so it's a safe bet that there's a model for whatever your budget may be.

Car Seats

Car seats are another necessity, and if you don't opt for one of the complete travel systems mentioned above, you'll want to be sure to purchase a seat while you're shopping for other baby essentials. Sam's Club offers multiple models from brands like Safety 1st, Graco, and Evenflo.

In addition to car seats solely for infants, you can also shop for models that will grow with your child; then you don't have to worry about replacing the seat with a new one at different stages. At the time of publication, we saw prices starting around $80, so you can expect to find something to fit your budget.
