Amazon Now Has Secret Video Game Discounts for Prime Members

The discounts only show up in-cart, but there's a way to see if a game is eligible on the product page.

As if there weren't already enough perks to using Amazon Prime, the mega-retailer reportedly has rolled out yet another one — albeit very quietly. Originally discovered by Destructoid, it appears as if Amazon has been offering secret discounts on some video games for Prime members. The catch is that the price isn't overtly advertised.

The only way to see the discount is to be signed in to a Prime account and to add the item to your cart. Qualifying games are all shipped and sold by Amazon itself (so no marketplace sellers), and a list of titles that are currently eligible can be found here.

The current selection has notable games — including some preorders, like Call of Duty: Black Ops III — but it's likely that the titles will change over time. The best way to see what falls under this secret discount is to look below the product listing for the note pictured below. (Click the image to view a larger version.)

Readers, have any of you taken advantage of this special discount before? Have you seen a similar tactic applied to other product categories? Let us know in the comments below!
