At least a dual hose unit doesn't suck hot humid outside air into your home thru whatever cracks it can find.
So much so that the EPA finally caught up with the manufacturers and forced them to downrate the heat removal claims.
So a roller model that used to claim 10,000 BTU capacity is actually more honestly rated at 6,000 or so BTU.
Think of it this way, your 6,000 BTU roller AC is actually costing you as much to run as a 10,000 BTU window unit but you're only getting 2/3 of the cooling capability.
