Black Friday Google Home Deal Predictions
- The Google Home Hub might drop to $119
- Shop Google Home Mini for $30
- Google Home will be priced at $70
The recently announced Google Home Hub is meant to somewhat serve as a rival to Amazon's Echo Show. However, the Home Hub doesn't have a camera; that could explain the starting price of only $149.
This is the first foray Google has made into this type of hardware, so discounts are hard to predict. But when the Google Home was first released in October 2016, we saw it drop $30 to $99 by Black Friday that year. Because of that, we feel there's a chance we could see the Home Hub drop to $119 for Black Friday 2018.
The Google Home Mini, a basic smart speaker, will be priced at $30 or less around Black Friday. That's a nice 40% discount.
It's also likely to be packaged in bundles with other smart home gadgets or gift cards. That can make them an even better value. Around Black Friday last year, we saw Google Home Minis bundled with $10 or $25 gift certificates, making them quite a steal.
Small smart speakers like the Google Home Mini don't feature the sound quality of larger speakers, but they have the same smart features as their larger counterparts.
If you'd prefer a larger speaker with better microphones and sound quality, though, the Google Home should cost around $70 this Black Friday. It may have slightly better discounts as a bundle, but those are less common than with mini smart speakers.
