Best Black Friday PlayStation Ads 2018

  • Sony PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB Spider-Man Console Bundle for $199 at Walmart or Target
Why Buy It: Excellent price for a popular bundle

The latest Spider-Man game dropped in September, and has been earning pretty favorable reviews. We predicted select PS4 Slim bundles would hit $200, but we didn't expect them to come with the latest games.

  • Select video games for $25 at Walmart
Why Buy It: Notable discounts on a variety of titles

With this deal, you can choose from titles for PS4 and other consoles at a significant discount.

  • Video games from $15 at Target
Why Buy It: Cheaper price makes it easy to stock up

This sale makes it easy to grab select AAA video games for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch at a fraction of their usual price. Older titles like Star Wars: Battlefront II, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, and Wolfenstein II will see the deepest price cuts. However, newer titles will also be on sale for just a few dollars more.

Black Friday PlayStation Deal Predictions

  • PS4 Pro could hit $320
  • PS4 Slim console will drop to $200
  • Select games will fall to $15 at stores like Target and Walmart

The PlayStation 4 Pro was released in 2016 and retails for $400. During Black Friday 2017, it was common to see a $50 price drop on this console, which brought it to $350. And there was one instance where Target knocked $60 off to bring it to $340.

This year, we've already seen the PS4 Pro fall to $320, so it's very plausible we'll see that price again for Black Friday 2018. There's also a chance it could fall even further, to $315 or $310.

The PlayStation 4 Slim, meanwhile, saw deep discounts last Black Friday, with both the 500GB and 1TB models falling to $200. This year, we've seen new Slim bundles go for $299, but that was for the Star Wars Battlefront II edition.

Be on the lookout for flash sales. This year we've seen PlayStation take up to 90% off more than once.

For older games and standalone bundles, we expect this console to hit $200 on Black Friday 2018 in many stores, like Kohl's, GameStop, and Newegg. It's likely to drop even lower in some cases, to $185 (or less) at stores like Costco.

Previous-gen consoles like the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita might not be common anymore, but that can mean deep discounts on the games.

PlayStation Store could take at least 50% off some titles in the lead-up to Black Friday, but for its day-of sale the online retailer should cut up to 70% off select titles. Be on the lookout for flash sales, as well — this year we've seen PlayStation take up to 90% off more than once.

New PlayStation 4 bundles will include the Days of Play system and the Limited Edition Spider-Man package. Days of Play will include a re-skinned PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB console and a matching controller for $300, while the Spider-Man bundle will include a customized Pro console, controller, game, and digital content for $400.

These two holiday bundles won't see huge discounts, but you might get moderate savings with sitewide coupons. Perhaps they'll even be bundled with a gift card or store credit. If you're looking for accessories, the Fortnite Bonus Content Bundle includes a wireless controller and bonus content for Fortnite for $60. This accessory bundle could see a slight drop for Black Friday.
