Black Friday LEGO Deal Predictions

  • Select LEGO sets will be as cheap as $10
  • The LEGO Brick Friday sale will take up to 50% off
  • Branded sets like NASA and Star Wars will get tiny discounts

LEGO sets are perennially popular, but they're not known for being budget-friendly — especially when it comes to licensed merchandise. (The 6,020-piece Hogwarts Castle for $400 comes to mind.) Around Black Friday, most of the affordable items will come from the LEGO Creator or Classic lines, or the LEGO Friends Heartlake collection.

The most affordable sets will come from the LEGO Creator or Classic lines, or the LEGO Friends Heartlake collection.

Determined to snag a big-name set? Select NASA products could sell for $25. And last year we saw a Star Wars Advent calendar for only $29, proving fandom favorites can occasionally be found at lower prices.

We also expect plenty of general LEGO sales, even though Toys"R"Us isn't around anymore. We've already seen Barnes & Noble knock 30% off LEGO sets this year; we're expecting them to take up to 50% off for the holidays. Stores like Target will take 20% to 25% off, while Amazon will cut up to 30% off select sets.

If you don't want to wait for particular sales, keep an eye out for individual LEGO deals. On multiple occasions last year, retailers like Amazon dropped the starting price of select sets to $14. These discounts weren't the best, but they were still worth checking out.

And don't forget LEGO itself — the brand will take up to 50% off during its annual Brick Friday sale. In addition to rare, noteworthy discounts, LEGO will also often provide a perk with select orders. Last year, LEGO offered a free nutcracker with orders of at least $99. Plus, the LEGO Holiday Ornament with gold bricks returned for $6, matching the previous year's Black Friday mention.
