Your Spring Cleaning Checklist Deals for 2025
When warmer weather begins to creep in, many people use that as a signal to start their spring cleaning routine. But while it may seem like a good time to do a deep clean of your home, that can be overwhelming. Fortunately, we have a spring cleaning checklist to help you determine what jobs to do, and even deals on the tools for completing them more efficiently.
Common items on spring cleaning checklists include the following:
- Wash baseboards, ceilings, windowsills, doors, and walls. Melamine sponges or Mr. Clean Magic Erasers may be particularly helpful for these tasks.
- Vacuum and wash vents. A good vacuum and appropriate attachments can make this job go faster.
- Wash window treatments. Many curtains and other window dressings may be machine-washable, but it's best to double-check and investigate dry cleaning for those that call for it. If you have blinds, also dust those as part of this task.
- Wash kitchen cabinets. Especially if there's a greasy buildup from cooking, now's a good time to consider mixing dish soap with a grease cutter in it with some water, and using that to make quick work of this job.
- Replace necessary items. Check on batteries in smoke and other detectors, but also take stock of the condition of sponges and pot scrubbers, as well as items like your broom and dustpan. Then you can see if any of them need to be replaced.
- Do a deep clean of appliances and cookware. It's a good time of year to make your items look new again. Cleaners like The Pink Stuff and Bar Keepers Friend can make these tasks less strenuous by cutting down on your scrubbing and cleaning time in general.
These are just some of the jobs that are on spring cleaning checklists, and they may not apply to every household. It's best to go room by room and make a list of what needs to be done, then create mini lists to tackle a little at a time. So when does spring cleaning start? Whenever you're ready!
