Amazon has a large selection of ongoing freebies, including select Kindle eBooks, Android apps, and free trial offers for Amazon services.

But where you can really rack up the savings is with Amazon's promotional credit offers. Read on for the best ways to snag these Amazon free credits.

How to Get Free Stuff on Amazon

Aside from free trials, you can snag free things on Amazon if you take advantage of its promotional credits. Sadly, there isn't a handy page that lists all of the current offers. But if you know where to look, you can keep your eyes open when you're shopping.

Amazon Devices and Accessories

Amazon regularly offers free promotional credits for purchasing Echo and Alexa devices, Fire tablets and TVs, and related accessories. Generally, you'll find $10 in promotional credit that you can spend on Prime Video content.

Great on Kindle eBooks

Amazon has designated some book titles — usually bestsellers — as "Great on Kindle." If you purchase the digital versions of these books, you'll earn 25% of the amount you paid in credit toward future Kindle book purchases.

If you buy Amazon Echo and Fire devices, you could score $10 in Prime Video credit.

Amazon Trade-In Program

If you have any old Amazon devices, books, electronics, or video games, you may be able to trade them in for Amazon gift cards through Amazon's Trade-in program. There are thousands of eligible items — and it doesn't matter whether you purchased them on Amazon or not.

All you have to do is search for the items you want to trade in, answer a few questions, and then send them in. If your items are accepted, you'll receive a gift card for the appraised value.

Amazon Gift Cards

In the run-up to Black Friday and the holidays, Amazon typically offers credits for buying gift card bundles. Recently, Amazon offered a $10 promotional credit for reloading a $100 gift card balance.

Note that gift card deals might not be available if you've participated in a similar promotion before. Even so, you should be able to receive an additional 2% on your gift card balance if you link your checking account and reload that way.

No-Rush Shipping

While Amazon Prime 2-day shipping is nice, you can opt for slower deliveries and receive a $1 credit if you aren't in a hurry. These credits can be used toward select digital books, music, movies, TV shows, and apps.

It's important to note that these promotional credits are typically only available for Prime members, and they do have expiration dates. They also can't be earned when buying gift items.
