It seems highly unlikely that the upcoming Polly Pocket live action film adaptation will be able to reach the heights that Barbie did but Mattel is going to try anyway. Before that, a crossover release with The Office in the form of the Polly Pocket x The Office Compact Playset. All your favorites are here like Michael and Dwight, along with a vending machine that I'm assuming is fondly and iconically regarded. Meanwhile, there have been three Polly Pocket film adaptations before, all animated, released between 2004 and 2006. Disappointingly they all opted for a 2D animated look and don't feature now horrifically aged 3D animation. We'll have to turn to the waking nightmare of Foodfight! for that, which looked at least 10 years out of date the moment it launched on June 15th 2012. I've seen it one and a half times. I regret nothing.
