How to Find Black-Owned Brands at Target
You can find Black-owned Target brands by visiting the company's Black Beyond Measure page or checking for the "Black Owned or Founded Brand" badge on product pages. But it's also important to realize how Target defines "Black-owned" for the purposes of its products.
According to the retailer, brands they recognize as such are U.S.-based and at least 51% Black-owned, operated, and controlled. Additionally, Target states that Black-founded brands are enterprises that were created, developed, and previously wholly or partly owned by Black entrepreneurs. Keep this in mind when shopping, as Target uses the same badge for Black-owned and Black-founded businesses.
