This Week's Rumor Roundup: Kindle, Windows 7, Wii

A little rumor goes a long way:
  • New PSP to drop UMD?
The death of yet another lame, hugely-un-popular Sony proprietary format. Who could have predicted that?!
  • Kindle 3 by year's end?
With it's 8-1/2" x 11" touchscreen, I hope you have Kindle-certified(tm) pockets to put it in.
  • ASUS Eee PC Shell coming in April?
At $500, it's a netbook at laptop prices!
  • Silent Hill coming to the Wii?
A port of the first PlayStation game, it'll include all the thrills, chills, and hills of the original. If I had my say, I'd advise them to leave the graphics as they were, too. Nothing is more scary than wondering it that thing moving in the shadows in the corner of a room is a demon preparing to bite your face off ... or a digital artifact. *Shiver*
  • Windows 7 on sale in September?
I've just realized that way too many people on the Internet care about when an OS is released. I've also just realized that I am one of them. That made me sad.
Then I remembered how AWESOME Windows 7 is!
Jeff Somogyi is dealnews' Media Editor. The only complaint he has about Windows 7? The fact that it's really hard to get accurate Google results by searching for "Windows 7".
