When Does Gucci Go on Sale?

Sales featuring the luxury brand happen practically every month, but June tends to have the most discounts overall.

Gucci used to be known for its twice-per-year Private Sales. However, it seems those have disappeared entirely since 2016. You can still stock up on your favorite designer goods, though — you just have to know where to look.

Does Gucci Have Private Sales?

A Gucci sale has long been known as a good way to grab designer pieces for up to 50% off. The luxury brand has previously offered private sales twice a year, with the spring/summer sale typically having lighter items perfect for warmer weather. The fall/winter one has been a good opportunity to snag cozier clothing for the colder temperatures.

We haven't seen a Gucci sale since 2016, but a number of third-party retailers discount Gucci items during their own events.

Where Can You Get Gucci on Sale?

Be prepared to shop designer department stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Barneys, and Saks Fifth Avenue. These retailers also tend to feature Gucci in their outlet stores, so keep an eye out at Nordstrom Rack, Last Call, Barneys Warehouse, and Saks Off 5th.

Additionally, look for retailers like Yoox, Mr Porter, and Jomashop to have on-sale Gucci clothing and accessories. And don't forget about eBay — it's a good place to check for designer eyewear under $100.

What Discounts Can You Expect?

So how much can you save on Gucci? Cheap designer goods are a huge win, but it really depends on when you shop. Here's a rundown of when retailers and their off-price counterparts host sales featuring Gucci products, plus the discounts you can expect.

Nordstrom

Nordstrom tends to take up to 70% off during its designer clearance sale in June. And all year Nordstrom Rack offers hefty discounts, which go as high as 67% off and 89% off.

Neiman Marcus

Neiman Marcus has held modest January sales, cutting an extra 30% off clearance. However, waiting until June can yield better savings on Gucci items — look for the luxury department store chain to take up to 55% off early in the month. It should also offer 25% off one sale item, 30% off two sale items, and 35% off three sale items later in June.

Meanwhile, Last Call tends to take at least 30% off during sales that feature Gucci goods. But during July it should cut between 30% off and 50% off items, as well as offer an extra discount via a coupon code.

Barneys

At Barneys, the best sales that include the Gucci brand fall around Father's Day in June, along with Black Friday and Cyber Week. This is when the retailer takes up to 60% off a wide variety of goods. As for Barneys Warehouse, check it out around Father's Day, Independence Day, and Cyber Monday. The retailer tends to knock between an extra 40% off and 60% off around these holidays.

Saks

Saks Fifth Avenue doesn't hold as many sales as the other retailers; however, watch out for a Final Sale in July, when the department store should take up to 70% off items. Saks Off 5th, on the other hand, is best to watch during mid-May. That's when you can expect to see discounts of up to 75% off or 80% off clearance.

Other Retailers

Alternatively, you can shop the Gucci brand at retailers like Yoox, where you can get an extra 20% off or as much as 60% off sale items early in the year. Also look for half off during its Singles Day Sale in November. Then there's Mr Porter, which hosts sales throughout the year. Its best discounts fall about every six months, though. January, June, and December tend to feature the best savings, with up to 70% off, up to 80% off, and up to 50% off, respectively.

Retailers such as Yoox, Mr Porter, and Jomashop offer Gucci goods at up to 80% off.

Want to focus on accessories? Jomashop is a good place to shop Gucci watches and sunglasses, with January, May, and December being solid months for sales. Look for discounts of up to 74% during those events.

The Best Tips for Buying Gucci

Shop smart. Certain products are better to buy during specific months. Look for eyewear on sale during the early part of the year, as well as in late summer. June and July are good times to shop for clothing and accessories.

Don't wait too long to shop. Designer items will be in high demand, so if you want a particular product you should grab it while you can.
