Best Black Friday Roku Ads 2018

• Roku SE Streaming Media Player for $20 at Walmart

  This Walmart exclusive is a super-cheap entry into the world of streaming media players. Even better, if you purchase a Roku player at Walmart, you'll receive a $35 Sling credit and one month of Showtime for free.

Black Friday Roku Deal Predictions

• Get a basic Roku Express for $20
• The Roku Streaming Stick+ will be $50
• Expect slight discounts on the new Roku Premiere models

Roku players offer thousands of streaming channels, making them an easy option for anyone looking to pick up a streaming media player. You'll find high-end Roku streaming players, but Black Friday sales will focus on the company's lower-end devices. For example, its entry-level model — the 1080p Roku Express — will be on sale for $20.

If you're looking for 4K, know that Roku has recently announced updates to its Premiere and Premiere+ models. (The Premiere is Roku's most basic 4K device.) Both have received price cuts to $40 and $50, respectively. With such low prices being standard, odds are we'll only see slight discounts on these models around Black Friday, if we see any at all.

Additionally, the new Premiere+ will be a Walmart exclusive. As a result, you'll have to rely on this one retailer to provide any further savings, which it might be less inclined to do without any competition. Because the Premiere+ is an exclusive, that also means any other stores with deals on the device for Black Friday should be selling the previous generation.

If you want a 4K streaming device that's more full-featured, you should also be able to pick up the Roku Streaming Stick+ for $50, which adds voice control and some other handy extras to the player.

While there should be great deals on Roku devices, the sales don't outshine the competition. Most 1080p players will be on sale for around $20, and most 4K players will be on sale for around $40. Amazon's Fire TV even offers voice controls in both 1080p and 4K streamers — something you'll only get on higher-end (and more expensive) Roku devices.
