The Cadillac test drive offer is a joke. You need to show proof of registration (an insurance card won't do) for a 2004 or later competing brand car. Then, in our case anyway, you have to bring in a mailer that Cadillac sent you so they can get a code number from it. Not sure if all dealers are doing that but ours was. Finally the test drive has to be at least 30 minutes plus the time you spend waiting before and after the test drive. We didn't find any of this out until after we used the Dealnews link to sign up, pick a model to test, receive an answer from the dealer and show up at the dealership. If you come driving up in a 2013 Mercedes they might go out of their way to lure you in but if it doesn't look like they think you're a serious buyer they do everything they can to chase you away.
