What to Expect from iPhone Deals in Black Friday 2023

We saw the Apple iPhone 11 Pro 256GB Smartphone for Verizon for $540 at the beginning of November 2022, which was the lowest we had seen for that model on any carrier without a contract. Around the same time, we saw Walmart offer an Unlocked Apple iPhone 12 64GB Smartphone for $299, on payments of $8.31/month for 36 months, which was half the monthly rate at other major retailers. Walmart also offered a $300 gift card with the purchase of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro 128GB for ATandT at $27.75/month, which was $14 under Apple's monthly rate for the unlocked model and no gift card. The Apple iPhone 13 128GB for ATandT was eligible for a $400 gift card at Walmart, for the same monthly payments that Apple charged for the AT&T version. Walmart also offered low prices on the iPhone SE for smaller carriers like Straight Talk and Boost Mobile. There were also plenty of refurbished iPhone deals for a wide range of models at eBay, Woot!, and other retailers.

Expect Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy to offer iPhone Black Friday deals in 2023. ATandT, Verizon, and T-Mobile are also likely to have Black Friday iPhone sales. In particular the iPhone SE, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13 should see the largest discounts. Apple iPhone 14 Black Friday deals will likely come, but with less drastic price cuts than the older models. Apple iPhone 15 Black Friday deals should be harder to come by, but savings may be found with trade-in offers and/or when you switch carriers.

2nd-Gen AirPods got as low as $80 at the end of October 2022, with most Black Friday prices hovering around $90. We're currently seeing prices as low as $99, so look for at least the $90 mark as Black Friday 2023 approaches, possibly lower. 3rd-Gen AirPods currently go for around $150, but we saw them as low as $130 in December 2022, so we could see a similar drop around Black Friday 2023.

By now everyone knows what an iPhone does, and comparison of specs between the various models is easy to do online. You may want to visit a physical location of your particular carrier in order to get information about your own situation, but most of the deals and rates are just as readily available online. Apple even makes trade-ins easy by sending you everything you need to mail your old device in after your new iPhone arrives. You can also avoid crowds and access the best iPhone deals on Black Friday from the comfort of your own home and/or with a mobile device as you shop online.

Expect iPad Black Friday sales to begin online and at retail locations certainly by November 24th and to linger at least through Cyber Monday. Note that some retailers have already started their early Black Friday deals and will be rolling lower prices out at various times in November. For example, Walmart begins its first Black Friday sale on November 8th online, with in-store offers beginning November 10th. Additional deals will follow at Walmart on the more traditional dates of November 22nd (online) and November 24th (in-store). They'll open at 5 AM. Best Buy's Black Friday is expected to begin sometime around November 19, but they'll be closed Thanksgiving Day. They traditionally open at 5 AM on Black Friday and close at 10 PM. Check the hours at your local Apple Store if you would prefer to check out the latest iPhone models in person.

We've seen many of the Black Friday iPhone offers carry over through the week of Cyber Monday. Walmart and eBay both had iPhone sales the week after Black Friday 2022 that focused on locked and/or refurbished iPhones, but the Black Friday gift card offer at Walmart was still ongoing.

Price matching policies vary widely from store to store on Black Friday and throughout the year. Amazon does not offer price matching. Target will match the price of any item purchased online or in-store from Target that goes on sale through December 24th, but it doesn't apply to items purchased at other Target stores. Target will also match prices from select stores at the time of purchase, or within 14 days of purchase, but doorbusters and lightning deals will be excluded. Other exclusions may apply. Best Buy has a price match guarantee, but there is an exclusions list, specifically items for sale the Friday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving. Walmart doesn't price match against its competitors, but they will match the online price if the item is still available online. Some have claimed that Apple will price match up to 10% under certain conditions, but we couldn't verify the particulars. Visit an Apple Store or contact the Apple Contact Center at 1-800-676-2775 for more information.

Membership does not seem to be much of a factor for iPhone Black Friday deals. Some of the best deals we've seen have been at Walmart, which have been available to everyone. Sam's Club and Costco memberships are usually required for their best prices anyway, and while Amazon frequently runs special prices on many items just for Prime members, iPhones are not typically included in those types of promotions. Anything could happen, however, so be sure to check Dealnews frequently for the best iPhone Black Friday deals.

Expect the deepest discounts on older iPhone models like the iPhone SE, 12, and 13. iPhone 14 Black Friday deals will likely be a bit more subdued. Don't expect much of a reduction for Apple iPhone 15 Black Friday deals, but do look out for special promotions that include gift cards and free or reduced accessories. Some of the outright lowest prices will be on older refurbished iPhone models found at eBay, but be sure to check condition, seller ratings, and warranty information before you buy.

Shipping for iPhones would usually fall under the free shipping threshold at retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Amazon. Apple.com also ships their iPhones for free. Free shipping policies will most likely remain in effect during the Black Friday season. Shipping gets a little more interesting the closer it gets to Christmas, however. Stores will sometimes run some form of express shipping offer in order to receive items in time for the holiday. Membership will sometimes impact the availability of express shipping (2-day, next-day, etc.). Be sure to check for the best Black Friday iPhone deals well in advance of December 25th in order to avoid any shipping hassles.

You can check every store's Apple iPhone Black Friday ad, but to stay up to date on the best offers around, bookmark the DealNews Apple iPhones page where we list Black Friday iPhone sales and the best deals on the full range of iPhone models, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, and accessories.

While we haven't seen many strong iPhone Black Friday deals at Amazon, the online retail giant has typically been a good place to find iPhone accessories. Keep an eye out for iPhone accessories, including cases, cables, and chargers on the DealNews iPhone Accessories page, where we frequently list the best deals from Amazon and others.

You'll also find Apple AirPod deals along with other headphone options at the DealNews Headphones page.

Early Black Friday sales have already begun, and we'll see Black Friday iPhone deals at retailers and carriers certainly by the week of Black Friday, continuing through Cyber Monday and beyond. In 2022, we saw several refurbished iPhone deals the week before Black Friday, and the best Apple iPhone 13 and Apple iPhone 14 Black Friday deals began a couple of days before Thanksgiving. This year's offers are likely to be similar, so now is the time to begin looking.
