This Week's Rumor Roundup: Apple, Google, Dell, more

Some big, some small, all "rumor-y":
  • Seagate to buy SanDisk?
News Flash: Giant tech conglomerate to buy other giant tech conglomerate. Your life NOT affected!
  • MacBook Air getting a Penryn upgrade?
What?! Why would Apple put faster, better chips in its computers? This rumor is SO way out, man!
  • Google phone release date?
It's called the G1, it's arriving on September 17th, and it's going to rock your world! (Disclaimer: World rocking only available for T-Mobile customers in NYC and Las Vegas.)
  • HSBC to shift to iPhones from Blackberry?
My advice to you, HSBC, if you've been seeing other phones on the side? Break it off with Blackberry right away. You don't want her seeing you come home with App Store all over your collar.
  • Dell's UMPC on August 22?
Tay ... another small, cheap notebook ... sigh.
  • Dark Night video game to be "sandbox-y"?
Grand Theft Auto: Gotham? I'm sold.
  • Nintendo denies Wii hard drive rumors?
Thank God, cuz the supposed drive was ... well, let's just say you could have brought it to that particular kind of frat party and "win".
  • Billy Bob Krueger?
Somehow, I find this fitting. Maybe it's because I always knew, deep down, that Mr. Thornton would, one day, try to kill me in my sleep.
