Memorial Day is the first big sale opportunity after the "deal drought" that tends to mark March and April. It's an excellent time to shop for big-ticket items like major appliances and mattresses, as well as home furniture and smaller goods. Even better, you don't have to wait for Memorial Day weekend for the sales to begin!

When Is Memorial Day 2025?

Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 26, this year, but the summer 2025 deals are already rolling out. That doesn't mean the big sales have started, though. The main events at Target, Best Buy, and Macy's will likely kick off closer to Memorial Day weekend. However, early sales may pop up sooner at retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, and others.
