This is What it Would Be Like if Japanese Cats Ran Your Pizza Hut

Cats are notoriously lazy, skittish, and impossible to train — in other words, they're wholly lacking in all the qualities needed to run a restaurant. Setting out to prove this, the Japanese branch of Pizza Hut recently debuted a viral marketing campaign called "Pizza Cat!," apparently betting that Internet + cats = SELL ALL THE PIZZA.
AdWeek has shared all 12 of the restaurant's videos, which detail the exploits of Tencho, Hime, Dora, and Detch as they try to run a Pizza Hut of their very own. The results are both aww-inducing and hysterical, as the felines struggle with everything from wearing a uniform to answering a telephone. Each ad lasts less than a minute, and offers no voice-over or explanation beyond a brief title screen.
Well, we can't say the ads made us hungry, but be sure to check out our Pizza Hut coupons if you're purr-haps feeling peckish. Also, we highly recommend that you click over to AdWeek to see all the videos for yourself.
Readers, what do you think of this sort of viral marketing? Is it the cat's meow, or just another gimmick? Let us know in the comments below!
