Final Roundup of the Best Black Friday Laptop Ads

Laptops are among the hottest items of the holiday season, so it's no surprise that more and more laptop deals are appearing in this year's leaked Black Friday ads. Thus far we have seen Black Friday laptops deals that meet three out of four of our laptops predictions. Plus, we've seen several interesting deals outside of our prognostications: a 12GB laptop for a good price? Who knew?! Below, we've updated our "best of" roundup for Black Friday laptop deals, which continues to be led by a very enticing budget system from Walmart.

  • Compaq Presario CQ58 15.6" 2GB RAM 320GB HDD Laptop for $179 at Walmart
In our Black Friday laptop predictions, we bet that we'd see a basic 15" to 16" laptop with a dual-core processor for $179 ... and that's exactly what Walmart is offering with this Compaq laptop. Pretty spot on!

  • Lenovo G585 Vision 15.6" 2GB RAM 320GB HDD Laptop for $188 at Best Buy
Released in September, the G585 Vision is the successor to the Lenovo G575, a popular AMD-powered budget laptop that we've listed throughout the year. The G575 hit an all-time low of $229 (with in-store pickup) back in June. So not only is its successor cheaper at $188, the new G585 is also just $9 away from our Black Friday prediction for budget laptops and a good deal to keep your eye on.

  • Dell Inspiron 14z Intel Core i3 4GB RAM 500GB HDD Windows 7 Laptop for $300 at Dell Home
If this doorbuster pans out, it will be the lowest total price we've seen for any Inspiron 14z, with or without an Intel Core i3 CPU. In fact, it would beat the current lowest price we've seen (which we found last month) by a full $50. It's also been included on this list because not only is it a good deal, but it's one that you can purchase online, from the comfort of your favorite chair, not after waiting outside for a couple of hours.

  • Gateway AMD A8 Quad-Core 15.6" 4GB RAM 500GB HDD Laptop for $349 at Target
As we predicted, mainstream 15" to 16" laptops would drop to around $364; this Gateway deal beats that by $15. We expected to see many more models around this price by now, but nothing has yet come close to challenging this deal for "best mainstream laptop" this Black Friday.

  • HP Pavilion A6 17.3" 6GB RAM 500GB HDD Laptop for $380 at OfficeDepot
Though our prediction for a Black Friday price on a 17" desktop replacement laptop assumed it would also have a Core i7 and 8GB of RAM, this system beats our predicted price of $525 by $145. We think the savings is an adequate trade-off for slightly less RAM and a nearly comparable CPU. Interestingly, Office Max offers the very similar Toshiba Satellite L875D-S7332 A6 17.3" 6GB RAM 640GB HDD Laptop also for $380, so you'll have two chances to get such a deal in-store on Black Friday.

  • Dell Core i3-2350M 14" 6GB RAM 1TB HDD Laptop for $399 at Navy Exchange
Though Dell itself has a Black Friday deal on a similar 14" laptop (see above), this deal adds an additional 2GB of RAM and doubles the hard drive of that system for only $99 more. If you want the portability of a 14" notebook, but with beefier specs, this laptop is for you. Of course, Dell offers its Inspiron 14z to all, and will be available for online purchase, to boot.

  • Dell Core i5 17.3" 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Laptop for $550 at hhgregg
Though the above system trades a lower price for slightly softer specifications, this one comes within a 5% margin of hitting our prediction and brings along a huge 1TB hard drive to boot (something we did not predict, but are glad to see, anyway!) It has a slightly weaker CPU than we wanted to see in this category at Black Friday, but it's still got a respectable core i5 chip in there, so we won't complain too much. On top of all this, it's also the lowest total price we've ever seen for any Dell 17" laptop with 8GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive.

  • Toshiba L855-S5372 15.6" 2.4GHz Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7 6GB RAM 640GB HDD Laptop for $580 at Staples
This is the lowest total price we've ever seen for any Ivy Bridge quad Core i7-equiped laptop by $31. (For a Toshiba system specifically, it's a low by $70.) We have seen similar laptops that included more RAM and larger hard drives for only around $120 more, which some could see as getting way more bang for their buck. However, at $580, this Staples deal is still a steal for the power it does have.

  • Toshiba Satellite L855S5383 Core i7 15.6" 8GB Laptop for $600 at hhgregg
Though the configuration above is very similar and $20 cheaper, we wanted to include this one at hhgregg, since it does have more RAM. However, you might have noticed, that the hard drive size of this computer was not specified. If it's 640GB, as with the model above, this is an even better deal, but if it's less, the shine comes off the apple, though it's still worth considering if you live near an hhgregg.

  • Lenovo 12" 1.7GHz Twist Core i5 4GB RAM 500GB HDD Ultrabook for $700 at Staples
This laptop is currently available at Fry's Electronics for $899.99, making this Staples deal a low by a full $200 and puts this model at the lowest total price we've seen for any Lenovo Twist Ultrabook by $99.

  • HP dv7t Core i7 17.3" 12GB RAM 1TB HDD Laptop for $1,000 at Costco
Here's something that we never could have predicted: the lowest total price we've ever seen for any laptop with 12GB RAM. So, if you're really into having lots of random access memory, you could do a lot worse than this laptop. Of course, if you're not a member, it's not that great, as you'll be paying an extra $55 to become a Costco member.

There are still more ads trickling in as we speak, so be sure to keep an eye on the Black Friday laptop ads page for additional deals. And if you just can't wait to get a new notebook, check out our current laptop deals roundup.

You know what urks me, that these retailers have these GREAT deals but only have a small amount and people get trampled for it. My thing is, these retailers can change the price on anything anytime of the year but they wait until people are desperate and feisty.

For me, I would rather wait.

Just my 2 cents that has probably been mentioned before.
