National Park Week is Coming! Here's How to Score Free Visits

National Park Week is almost here, and it's the perfect time to see the great outdoors. The celebration encourages visitors to plan trips in the spring to avoid peak crowds. You'll have four chances this month to visit a national park for free, and there are four more fee-free days this year.
But if you miss out now, your next chance to bag a free visit won't pop up until September.
When is National Park Week?
This year, National Park Week takes place from April 15 to April 23. The best thing about the celebration is you can visit any national park for free from April 15 to 16, and April 22 to 23. Find your local park and get ready to hit the trails!
These fee-free days are great for families who might not otherwise be able to afford a trip to a national park. Entrance fees can be as affordable as $3. However, they can also go as high as $30. That gets pricey for larger groups, to be sure.
Support Your Favorite National Parks
This weeklong celebration is a chance for everyone to support their most-loved parks. You can opt to make a monthly or one-time monetary donation to help out. You can also make a donation in honor of someone, if you'd like.
