Today is Lazy Mom's Day, and we're joining in the fun by looking at five great ways moms (and everyone else, I guess) can relax today, over the weekend, and on through the rest of this crazy year. Home Depot let you save over $300 on a convertible sleeper sofa, Calm has noisescapes and meditations to help you settle, and Boohoo's swimwear sale will let you chill stylishly by the pool.
Serta Augustus 2-Seater Convertible Sleeper Sofa
Store: Home Depot
Lowest By: $349
Expiration: September 10
It's probably fair to say that once you hit a certain level of exhaustion, there's no chair too uncomfortable to sleep in. But, as our intrepid curator Kathryn Gilmer notes, sometimes "you want to nap, but you don't want to have to leave the couch" – and you also want to wake up without a persistent crick in your neck. This convertible convenience can function as a sofa, lounger, or bed, and its high density foam cushioning means your body will probably thank you for it.
Calm "Take A Deep Breath" Content
For something a little more proactive than "maybe I'll fall asleep here soon", Calm offers meditations, sleep stories, movement exercises, journals, and music to soothe those jangling nerves and get you centered once more. It offers web access and app access, and even includes meditations for kids when it's not you that needs to relax a little. They also have eight-hour sleeping aids on YouTube.
Segway Ninebot ES2-N Foldable Electric Scooter
Store: Best Buy
Lowest By: $250
Expiration: September 8
It's not relaxing in the way a hot tub or a glass of wine is relaxing, but this Segway scooter can be helpful in other ways. Have somewhere you need to be? Forget walking, and get your scoot on! Just need a breath of fresh air? Make a Segway adventure out of it. I've never used the scooter, but I did do some city tours on the original Segways, and once you get your bearings, it's as close to gliding as you're going to get without a jetpack, and we haven't found any discounts on those lately.
Boohoo Women's Swimwear Sale
Expiration: September 12
If your idea of relaxing is just chilling by the pool, make sure you don't overspend on the swimwear you'll need. A fairly determined browse through this sale seems to show that these items aren't just up to three-fourths off their list price... they're also at least half-off. The $9.99 flat shipping fee is a little ugly at first blush, but stocking up here and in their Labor Day sale can soften the blow.
CBD for Life Labor Day Sale
Store: CBD for Life
Expiration: September 9
If the comfy chairs and soothing noisescapes aren't doing it for you, some CBD-infused shampoos, tinctures, and bath bombs might provide a chemical solution. This hefty discount shows in-cart, so don't be scared off by the full prices showing initially. (And we understand if full prices scare you – that's not the content you come to DealNews dot com for. Have some calming rain sounds, just in case.)
