Your Ultimate Guide to Samsung Galaxy S7 Accessories

Outfit your phone with extra lenses, protective covers, and other cool gear.
Published

For most mobile devices, you might invest in the phone and go cheap on third-party accessories like cases, chargers, and whatnot. But you'd be doing yourself a disservice by choosing generic over official when it comes to Samsung's Galaxy line. These accessories are as performance-oriented and aesthetically pleasing as the S7 and S7 Edge themselves.

Here's a look at some of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge accessories you should consider picking up. Samsung can charge a bundle for these items on its website, but we found them on Amazon for sometimes $50 or more under MSRP; we've listed Amazon's prices whenever possible.

And if you haven't already, be sure to check out our guide to the current generation of Samsung Galaxy phones, the S7 and S7 Edge.

Cases and Covers

Galaxy S7 Accessories

Lens Cover

Price: From $79.99

A true accessory in every sense of the word, the Lens Cover comes with two interchangeable lenses: a telephoto lens for distance shots, and a wide-angle lens for panoramic photography. The lenses work in tandem with your phone's camera, but the cover can better capture images than the phone on its own — delivering better resolution and less distortion.

Galaxy S7 Accessories

LED View Cover

Price: From $19.99

This Galaxy cover appears opaque until its animated LED lights illuminate activity while your S7 is dormant, like the time, text and voice messages, and battery life. It also doubles as a flip-open wallet case to store IDs, credit cards, and more. Once you close the grain-textured cover, the case switches over to LED mode.

Galaxy S7 Accessories

S-View Flip Cover

Price: From $9.95

When the S-View Cover is closed, the phone is never really "off." A small, square screen gives an active, if somewhat abbreviated, preview mode of your phone's activity. You can still take calls, snap pics, and receive other notifications without having to open the case, all with a simple swipe. This one gets high marks for being more affordable than the LED View cover, while offering more customized interactivity.

Galaxy S7 Accessories

Keyboard Cover

Price: $29.99

Smartphones have made the analog keypad on mobile devices an endangered species, but the S7 Keyboard Cover revives it with a dual protective cover/keyboard hybrid. The keyboard portion is detachable, too; when in use, it snaps on the front while the screen resizes itself, and when not in use, the keypad can be reattached to the back of the phone.

Fast Charge Wireless Charging Pad

Price: From $39.99

This rounded pad discreetly plugs into the wall and sits at an upright angle to support your S7 while it charges wirelessly. Though it's not totally innovative, it gets top marks for the updated, sleek design, especially since it keeps the phone in "always on" mode. Just like with the LED case, you'll still be able to see details like the time, date, and battery life without having to turn the phone back on.

Wireless Charging Battery Pack

Price: From $64.92

While it looks like a hard clamshell case, this Battery Pack is actually an external battery and charger that attaches to your phone, designed so it doesn't obstruct your phone's camera lens, USB port, or earphone jack. The unobtrusive, 8.53mm design is a wireless way to keep your phone alive a little longer.

Readers, if you've purchased any of these accessories, how have they worked out for you? What other S7 products can you recommend, whether brand name or otherwise? Let us know in the comments below!

I have the S7 in Gold. I bought a UAG (by Urban Armor Gear) case for my phone. It is clear on the back so you can see the color of your phone. It snaps on securely, is lightweight, easy to hold and looks really nice. It has passed the military drop test so you don't have to worry about breaking the phone. I have had several otter boxes and I prefer this case as it isn't as bulky. (and it's only $20) You can check it out on Amazon here: (https://www.amazon.com/...8-3&keywords=uag+s7+case)

Love this case
