Netgear Orbi has made several "best of" lists for mesh WiFi systems. Read on to learn about the Orbi WiFi devices and what you can expect them to cost. What Is Netgear Orbi WiFi? Orbi is Netgear's mesh WiFi hardware. You can choose from a few different Orbi routers and satellites, depending on whether you need indoor or outdoor nodes, or if you'd like a smart speaker integrated into your mesh node. The Orbi AC3000 system could cost you anywhere from $308 to $370. Netgear is the only mesh WiFi system we've seen with an outdoor node, the RBS50Y. Sticker shock alert: The outdoor node will likely cost you around $350. As far as other pricing goes, the Orbi AC3000 system — with an RBR50 router and RBS50 satellite — could cost you anywhere from $308 to $370. What Sets Netgear Orbi WiFi Apart? The Orbi design aesthetic is "steam-pressed obelisk," with a colorful ring light on top that tells you about the quality of your network connection. The aesthetics are important, because this expensive mesh network's products tend to take up some space. That said, Netgear also sells one Orbi satellite that plugs into a wall socket like a night light, if space is lacking in your setup. SEE ALSO: What Is Eero WiFi? The price and the product footprint are notable downsides mentioned in Netgear Orbi reviews.
