This Week's Rumor Roundup: Microsoft, Google, Tron, Aerosmith
Published
-
Microsoft snuggling up to Sony to get Blu-ray support?
Beware, Sony, you're CLEARLY a rebound HD-partnership! MS still has feelings for their ex HD-friend, Toshiba. If you're not careful, you might get your heart broken. -
Sprint spinning off divisions left-and-right?
They've already been rumored to be spinning off their WiMax project "Xohm". Now it's rumored that they'll be tossing their Nextel brand. What would they have left? Apparently nothing at all, as T-Mobile might buy the entire company. Whoops! -
Microsoft or Google to buy digg?
In my mind, Microsoft and Google are giant toddlers, fighting over a cupcake. Neither of them really wants the cupcake — they just don't want the other guy to have it.
(digg is the cupcake, by the way. Just in case you missed that.) -
Xbox price drop, next week?
In Europe. So, it's not like a REAL price drop. I mean, all those European countries use some sort of fake, play money, anyway, not REAL American Dollars, right? -
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith to feature other bands, too?
Thank. God. Now, before you Line Up to send me hate-mail, Get A Grip. While a whole Line Up of YA-KA-KAOW songs sung by a digital Tyler might have been Amazing, it probably would have had me Cryin'. Or, at least, have made me Crazy. Either way, I don't Gotta Love It. I'm not Livin' On The Edge, after all. (Guffaw) -
Tron 3-D?
2011 is shaping up to be an awesome year for Disney: Cars 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 4, National Treasure 3, and Tron 3-D. It's good to see that at least ONE studio out there is dedicated to new, creative ideas and not simply re-treading old ground for a quick buck. -
Crysis coming to PS3?
With 50% different game play, though. So, it's not exactly a port. It's not exactly a sequel, either ... Is it a PortQuel? Or just a way to make more cash on selling the same title, again, to gamers? YOU be the judge! -
Resident Evil 5 for Fall?
Do I REALLY have to make a joke here about the franchise "coming back to life"? Or some other equally insipid Zombie analogy?
