Rumor Roundup: So Many iWatch Rumors! Plus: Star Wars and Nanobots!

When the Internet runs out of news, it starts making things up. We think this is funny, so we round up all the lies and speculation and put them here. We call it the "Rumor Roundup" and we do it all for you! This week:

Another iWatch Concept
  • Will Apple's iWatch Come in 2 Styles?
One version will have a metal strap and the other will have a rubber strap. Notably absent is a leather strap option, though. We're guessing it's because of animal's rights. (Cows shouldn't be forced to wear iWatches.) [Ubergizmo]

  • Is Apple's iWatch Going to Be Approved by the FDA as a Legit Medical Device?
"Doc, could ya write me a prescription for an iWatch? I got a baaaaad case of the Bluetooths." [Wall St. Cheat Sheet]

  • Will Apple's iWatch Have a 2.5" Display?
Is that big? Well, for comparison, that's probably 39.5" smaller than your TV. [Today's iPhone]

Nanobots From MST3K
  • Is Google Working on Cancer-Detecting Nanobots?
Ones that swim in your blood?! (Hopefully the blood can still be inside you at the time.) Plus: Think of the very custom-tailored ads that Google could serve up... from within you! [Business Insider]

  • Is the iPhone 6 Going to Launch on September 19?
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the 3rd Battle of Winchester, Virginia. [Technology Tell]

  • Will the New Star Wars Film Feature Sith Witches?
Sithwich: Like a sandwich, but with more this is not the sandwich you're looking for this is not the sandwich I'm looking for... please move along, to the next window to pick up your order.[IGN]

@dealnews-SomogyiHahahaha. Yeah I guess I'm a little overboard with Star Wars. I also heard that the expanded universe (books only) are going to be totally disregarded when making the new episodes. But the television series can and may still be included. It'll be interesting to see where they decide to take the storyline.

Wow, we are but a padawan, next to your holocron-like knowledge! I think we need a midichlorian booster shot to keep up.
And if Sith Witches ARE in the film and Chipwich DOESN'T do a marketing tie-in, then a huge trick will have been missed!

Lol awesome. But one thing, there is sort of sith witches in Star Wars. The NightSisters are a race of witches who use powers that could (in a small way) make them similar to the sith. They are also ruthless killers and have a "SisterHood" setup. This just also happens to be what Ventress is. (Count Dookus apprentice in the cartoon series "Clone wars") Having any connection with the cartoon series would be awesome for the movies. Several Jedi we did not see die in the movies or the cartoons can still be alive and are possible candidates for characters in the new movies. Characters such as Asoka Tano (unsure of spelling) or Shakk Ti, possibly even Qui-Gon Jinn as a ghost/spirit. Just a few thoughts lol. You can tell I'm looking forward to the new movies, especially when directed by JJ Abrams :D
