When the Internet runs out of news, it starts making things up. We think this is funny, so we round up all the lies and speculation and put them here. We call it the "Rumor Roundup" and we do it all for you! This week:

  • Google to Start an Amazon Prime-Like Delivery Service?
Remember when Google was a search engine? (Now I just sound old.) [DigitalTrends]

  • Apple Will Add Wireless Charging to Next-Gen iPhones?
Because "attach a cord, then place it on the desk" is way more work than "place it on the desk in a specific location." (Still sounding old?) [DigiTimes]

  • Charlize Theron Launching a Denim Line?
They're tough, like Vickers, but soft like ... um, has she ever played a soft, likable character? Oh, right: Aileen in Monster. [Hollywood Reporter]

  • T-Mobile Will Start Accepting Phones for Trade-In Credit?
You know, so customers can off set the cost of a their new phone that T-Mobile is no longer off setting with carrier subsidies. T-Mobile: Passing the burden on to its customers! [FierceWireless]

  • Instagram Headed to Windows Phones?
And a whole new segment of smartphone users gets to experience the joys of taking grainy, out-of-focus pictures of their food and posting it to Facebook #foodporn [Latino Post]

  • LinkedIn to Buy Pulse News Reader?
The only change they will make to the service is replcing all news feeds with updates about who wants to contact you, who looked at your profile, and other, spammy-type messages. [AllThingsD]

  • Google Now Coming to iOS?
Google Now and Siri on the same device is gonna be like when Colossus met Guardian, isn't it? Will we have a Forbin to save us? (Well, I certainly shouldn't reference movies from 1970, if I don't want to sound old.) [Engadget]

Jeff,

Assuming that this post has been up for awhile, I'm guessing that I'm about the 100th reader to mention to you that Google is not a Cupertino company. Turns out that Apple is headquartered in Cupertino while Google went up North to Mountain View.

Cheers
