Rumor Roundup: Flexible iPhone? Google Buys Groupon? More?

By , dealnews Media Editor

When the Internet runs out of news, it starts making things up. We think this is funny, so we round up all the lies and speculation and put them here. We call it the "Rumor Roundup" and we do it all for you! This week:

  • Apple iPhone 6 Will Have a Flexible Screen?
Can't wait for the "iPhone Yoga" tumblr blogs that'll crop up over this. [InRumor]

  • Next-Gen Xbox and PlayStation Have New Codenames?
"Kryptos" and "Thebes," respectively. Kryptos, of course, is Greek for "hidden" and Thebes refers to the city in Greece. Of course, this naming convention is appropos because ... uh ... the ancient Greeks invented video games? Kid Icarus! [GameRevolution]

  • Google to Buy Groupon?
But they'll only have until tonight at midnight to buy it for 50% off, otherwise ... well, it'll proably continue to get cheaper, as Groupon stock is tanking. [InvestorPlace]

  • Foxconn to Open Factories in the U.S.?
The outsourcing of manufacturing jobs has finally "lapped" the Earth! [Kotaku]

  • Apple iPhone 5S Coming in June, in 6 to 8 Colors?
If so, I will be the first in line to roll my eyes at the blogger who dares to headline their piece, "iPhone Colors Bloom In June!" In fact, I'm rolling my eyes right now in anticipation. It's a problem. [Time]
