Tara Subkoff (of Imitation of Christ fame) has joined forces with Bebe to bring fans an affordable line of Subkoff threads. The clothing, which Subkoff has deemed "80's Feminist meets 40's Hollywood Glam," features a mix of cool gray, black, white, and blood orange colors, with a spattering of hearts and a plethora of ruffles.
Whether she's reimagining vintage clothing (like at the beginning of her IoC career) or creating new designs, Subkoff always manages to produce avant garde pieces while keeping a toe in retro styling. With items starting at $59, her line for Bebe is a wonderful opportunity for girls on a budget to tap into a designer that the brightest in Hollywood and the fashion industry -- Scarlett Johansson, Chloe Sevigny, Mary Kate Olsen -- have supported.
