In a world where every new game pretty much has to cost $60 at every retailer, deal-savvy players have learned to play the waiting game. Good news! The wait is over for the five Editors' Choice gaming deals we've rounded up below. Score a copy of Angry Birds Star Wars for $10, get an all-time price low on the Ultimate Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us, and get more than 40 PC games in the latest Humble Bundle.
Is It Worth It?: Angry Birds fans were understandably less than thrilled to see the $40 retail price attached to their favorite (usually cheap) smartphone game when Angry Bids Star Wars debuted. But now you can grab this feathered space opera for a much more reasonable $10, saving yourself $16 in the process. Working within the Star Wars theme, this game adds interesting new ideas to the Angry Birds mythos, according to GameSpot: "Upon launching your bird, you work with whatever variables — such as gravity, TNT, air vents, or weighted objects."
Is It Worth It?: With six additional characters and 30 new skins, the Ultimate Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us was definitely a buy worth waiting for if you're a deal-loving DC purist. This Groupon offer is the best price we've seen for this version on any platform, so there's never been a better time to grab this game, in which DC heroes turn villainous. D+PAD praised game's balance, saying that "the consistency of the characters is one of the great strengths of Injustice. The different superpowers of the cast are well-reflected through their different fighting styles."
Is It Worth It?: If you've got a wall-mounted TV, placing your Xbox 360's Kinect can be tricky — unless you've got this mounting kit! For just $5, you can easily connect your Kinect to almost any flat panel, up to 60". That's a $2 drop from our previous mention, a $13 price low, and the best price we've seen.
Is It Worth It?: Humble Bundles are a great way for non-console gamers to score awesome deals and help out a great cause. The latest bundle, called "A Humble Bundle of Love for Brandon Boyer" is the biggest we've ever seen. You'll get more than 40 games and soundtracks, the proceeds for which go towards the Brandon Boyer Cancer Treatment Relief fund. Some of the games included are Anomaly Warzone Earth, Sleepwalker's Journey, Castles in the Sky, QbQbQb, and many more.
Is It Worth It?: Lest the Mac gamers feel unloved, we've got to highlight this deal on Quake 4 downloads. At just $5, the game's a full $15 under what you'll pay elsewhere and tied as the best price we've seen for this title. A throwback FPS that feels a lot like other id Software offerings (Doom 3 especially), "Quake 4 is a genuinely fun game," according to IGN. However, the reviewer found the multiplayer to be somewhat lacking.
