Today, Apple announced its new Apple 9.7" iPad. The most notable difference is that this base model now features Apple Pencil support, something that was previously available only on the iPad Pro. It also steps up to the faster A10 Fusion processor, but the new additions seem to end there.

The remaining features are ones that have been a part of the iPad since last year's update – a 9.7" Retina display, 8-megapixel rear camera, front-facing FaceTime HD camera, support for optional LTE, 10 hours of battery life, and a total weight of 1.03 lbs. Here are the configurations, which are available in Silver, Gold, or Space Grey: You can order the new iPad today with an estimated delivery date of around April 3.
