Microsoft Digital Keys at Woot

These are corporate bulk license codes issued by Microsoft to businesses. Businesses… or more likely their I/T staff are reselling those codes out the back door to 3rd party sellers like Amazon, Stack Social, or FleaBay.

That Microsoft allows Amazon (Woot) to abuse their licenses shows Microsoft is OK with the abuse. Microsoft could issue a cease and desist order to otherwise reputable companies.

What it means:

1) The licenses are single use - you install it on a PC once. No reinstalling on corrupted or new replacement PC's, unlike legit retail licenses.

2) If the business where your bulk license originated goes out of business or re-inventories/reduces its license count with Microsoft, your license might go dead.

3) Buyers of these licenses are at the mercy of Microsoft and/or the third party who sold them for support should there be a problem.

4) Be sure to attempt to install the license code immediately upon receipt, prior to the reseller's "return date".
