Just checked a couple still very usable (performance-wise) and perfect condition 3-4 year old iPads and iPhones… the values are pretty significantly below market value.

And that "Get extra trade-in credit" is in the form of a card and it isn't clear you can use it directly on this purchase since you'll have to mail in your device and await a confirmation of condition. So will you end up with an unused big balance Apple gift card?
